What is 3,4-divanillyltetrahydrofuran?

3,4-divanillyltetrahydrofuran is extracted from Urtica Diodica, or more commonly referred as stinging nettle root. 3,4-divanillyltetrahydrofuran is typically called stinging nettle, because chemicals in the hairs or spines on the leaves and stems cause skin irritation and pain when touched.
